Gayla Cook holds a Master of Education in Counseling and Development and is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate. Her own life experience runs wide: growing up in Texas, Arizona, and Wyoming, three decades in education as a teacher, coach, and behavior specialist, raising five children, caregiving for aging parents and grandparents, and walking alongside a family member's recovery journey. She brings that depth of experience, combined with her professional training, to meet clients with wisdom and compassion.Gayla provides evidence-based, holistic counseling grounded in creating a safe, compassionate space. She works with clients navigating grief, anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem and identity issues, aging and caregiving, and stress, as well as relational, premarital, and marital counseling — and has a particular interest in sports-related mental performance and resilience. Upon request, she also offers Christian faith-based spiritual counseling.Gayla works with adolescents, adults, and couples, and believes in incorporating a variety of therapeutic approaches — free from pressure or judgment — so each client can reach their own goals.
