Laura Taff

Laura Taff brings more than 17 years of experience working with children, teens, adults, and families across community mental health, school, and home-based settings. She holds a bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and a master's degree in family psychology from Hardin-Simmons University.Laura uses a person-centered, integrative approach — starting where each client is and tailoring treatment to their needs, culture, and lifestyle. She draws primarily on cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused counseling, with particular experience in depression, anxiety, family and relationship conflict, parenting challenges, life transitions, and trauma. She also has experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including mild autism.Clients describe Laura's style as warm and supportive. She values collaboration and consistency, working alongside each client to set goals and take practical steps toward lasting change.
